Mold mix

• Mixing with water: 1 part water – 4/5 parts Mold mix, mix the dry powder before pooring into the water.
• Poor the mold mix carefully (no dust) into the water, avoid bubbles.
• Prepare the negative object (of clay, gel flex or something similar) with a primer like Vaseline, silicons spray, oil.
• Poor the mold mix over the form and let it dry completely (takes 1-3 hours, depends on the size), after hardening out take off the negative form.
• Place the new form into the kiln and dry it: 3 – 5 hours to 150°C, than nearly 5 hours to 700°C, let it cool down in the kiln.
• Before slumping a glass into the form, prepare the surface always with shelf primer like you do it with the ceramic forms.
